Warehouse & Logistics: How Your Flags Travel

How we pack and ship advertising flags: flat-packed prints, separate cartons for poles and bases, three freight options and the documents your customs broker needs.

A flag order is not finished when the printing is done. It is finished when the cartons arrive intact, the counts match the packing list, and the importer can move stock straight to a shelf or a van. This page covers how we pack, how we ship, and the documents that travel with the goods.

Warehouse & Logistics at a Glance

Number What it means
3-7 days express courier door to door
20-40 days typical sea freight window
6307.90 HS code for printed flags
5-10 days bulk production after approval

Packing That Protects the Print

1. Flags flat-packed. Folding a flag around a hard object leaves a set in the fabric; flat packing keeps the print smooth and stops pole sleeves from creasing. 2. Poles bundled by length. Sections are grouped so a store can assemble without sorting, and bundle labels match the packing list. 3. Bases in their own cartons. Metal bases at the bottom of a mixed carton are the fastest way to damage a flag order, so they ship separately even though it costs a little more handling.

Three Freight Options

1. Express courier, 3 to 7 days door to door. Best for samples and small urgent orders; charged on weight, so a sample kit is affordable and a container is not. 2. Air freight. A middle option for orders that must arrive before an event but are too big for courier. Volumetric weight matters more than actual weight, which is another reason we keep cartons tight. 3. Sea freight, usually 20 to 40 days depending on the route. The cheapest per unit for volume orders; buyers who plan a season in advance use it, and mixed sizes travel together in one container.

Documents and Customs

1. Commercial invoice and packing list prepared per order, with counts that match the cartons. 2. HS code 6307.90 for printed textile flags, which keeps the customs conversation short. 3. Photographs of the packed goods sent before the balance is due, so an overseas buyer approves what is actually in the cartons rather than what the order said.

Lead Times Buyers Can Plan Around

1. Samples are typically ready in 2 to 3 days. 2. Bulk production runs 5 to 10 days after artwork approval. 3. Add the freight window to that: express days, air about a week, sea weeks. Buyers who approve artwork in October are shipping by sea for a December season; buyers who approve in December are paying for air.

Storage Advice Once the Goods Arrive

1. Keep flags folded flat, dry and off concrete floors. 2. Store poles horizontally so sections do not take a set. 3. Keep bases dry to prevent rust on painted metal. 4. Number and log printed skins if you run multiple sites or a rental fleet, so the busiest locations can be identified next season.

Warehouse & Logistics , Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. How are flags packed for shipping?
Flags are flat-packed, poles are bundled by length, and bases travel in their own cartons. That combination protects the print and makes unpacking a sorting exercise rather than a search.

Q2. Which shipping method should I choose?
Samples and small urgent orders ship by express courier, event orders usually by air freight, and volume orders by sea. We quote all three for your destination so the choice is yours.

Q3. What documents come with the order?
Commercial invoice, packing list and HS code 6307.90, prepared so your customs broker can clear the shipment without extra correspondence.

Q4. Can we see the goods before paying the balance?
Yes. We photograph the packed cartons and the finished flags before shipment, and send them with the packing list.
